5 Best Ways you can Make Money from Home with Zero Money

I’ve certainly got some problems, but a side hustle ain’t one! I personally believe having a side income is the best way to improve anyone’s personal finance situation.

As much as budgets and financial discipline are important, but you’ll rarely get rich budgeting. Besides what's there to budget if there's no money coming in. Real wealth comes from income, and you have the ability to earn more (irrespective of your current financial situation or skill level)

In this post I'll share 5 ways that I've used to make a lot of money from the comfort of my home. These are tested and proven ways that you can also try to start making money from the comfort of your home.

And the sweet perk here is you can start any of them at absolutely zero cost.

Right now we're in quarantine with everyone spending a lot of time at home and this made me realize that there are just two kinds of people in this world;

The first kind is the one who just waste time sleeping, watching Netflix or just being on their phone all day and the other is the person that uses his time wisely to learn, make money and get stuffs done.

Which one are you?

There has never being a better time to learn how to start making money from home than now. And you don't have to worry about whether you have money to start or not.

I'm not just telling you things I've heard or read about, I'm telling you things I've tried and succeeded in as well as also helped others do same.

I'll be focusing on the different ideas and what it means in this post. But if you stick around long enough, I'll also be sharing the strategies on how I started and succeeded on a zero start up cost and guide you on starting yours.

If you can pull it off though, you stand to increase your earnings and chances of escaping the 9-to-5 employment world someday—and give yourself the freedom to live life on your own terms.

Without further ado, here are the 5 ways you can start making money from home even if you don't have any money:

  • Freelance Services

I already have a few posts on my blog where I talked about freelance services. Freelancing basically requires you to put up your skill for hire.

Success as a freelancer basically depends on your competence level, ability to put yourself out there, customer service and your selected niche.

You can start up freelancing with any skill you have and make good money from it. If you don't have any skill, then learn one. Or maybe you're not good enough in what you currently know? Then skill up.

There are lot of free online courses to learn anything. Or you could just stick to YouTube for your learning.

The two options available to you is to announce your services and seek for clients or to leverage already existing freelance platforms like Fiverr and UpWork or a combination of both.

My agency Creativ Calling started up as freelancing service without a business name. Although it's still a freelance agency, but now with a business name and hopefully become a company some day.

  • Drop Services or Outsourcing

The difference between this and offering a freelance service is that in this case, you don't possess the needed skill to deliver the task. Instead you acquire the client and outsource the service delivery to someone else with the needed skills.

This is a safe and profitable way to kick-start a business (probably an agency). You sell the service and get someone else do the job.

The major downside of this is the risk of poor service delivery. So make sure the person you're getting to do the job will get the job well done to client's satisfaction. Or you run the risk of having displeased clients.

To start, just look for a high demand service that you can effectively sell and find someone with the skill to deliver on that service.

You earn from the difference between what you charged the client and what you paid to get the job done. The profit margin here is limitless. I tell you from experience.

  • Drop shipping

Drop shipping is the product side of drop services. Here instead of marketing and selling services, you deal with products instead. Selling Digital Products

Drop shipping is all about selling someone else's products as your own. As I stated in the beginning of this post, you don't need any money to start.

All you need do is simply find a store (could also be an online store), a friend or vendor that sells products you'll love to sell. Make an arrangement with them, take sample pictures of their products if it's an offline store or download sample pictures if it's an online store and market the products.

I tried out two drop shipping venture. First was setting up a Shopify store for free (online store) and the second was dealing directly with a merchant selling watches (offline).

Honestly I did it to actually try out the business model before teaching it. And it works. Though I've stopped now, but I still get people making inquiries to buy, I just refer them directly to the merchant I was purchasing from.

  • YouTube

I haven't tried this personally and it's solely because of my lack of commitment and fear of standing in front of the camera (still trying to get rid if it though).

But YouTube requires no further introduction as it's one of the most popular ways people are cashing out online. I've personally worked with and helped some friends start up their YouTube channel and they are doing pretty well.

YouTube is one of the highest employer of many online entrepreneurs as it has made a lot of people popular and rich. You get paid by the number of views your videos get and it can be very very lucrative if you grow your channel and get a lot of views consistently.

While getting a camera (your phone camera is enough) and being behind the camera talking all day is probably the best way to build a personal brand and fan base around your brand, it's not the only way to create great YouTube contents.

You can also put up funny videos, find videos and put them together or put up a meme compilation and these videos get a lot of views.

You get paid on per thousand (1000) views. The average is $7/1000 views.

  • Blogging

It might surprise you to know that I just started my blog in the first week of April 2020.

Or no, I just started taking my blog seriously because I've started a few number of blogs in the past where I earned a few bucks but never committed to it. So I can't leave out blogging from this list.
